Soft News
During this article, it talks about how popular the Bundlestone boots are. The whole article gives examples on how popular they are and that they have been on a constant incline since they've been created in the 1800's. This is an example of soft news because it does not have much importance and would only appeal to individuals who like that kind of shoes or are interested in them.

Hard News
Within this article, a woman faced a weird condition where she would sweat blood during physical activity. After many countless appointments with doctors, they came to a conclusion that the female suffered from Hematohidrosis. This is definitely hard news because it was so baffling and made a lot of extremely intelligent doctors works for a long time to get the results they got. This news article would appear to anyone because of how rare of a case it was.

Blurred News
This article discusses an incident where a private plane was hit by something. As the Thunder team was traveling home from a loss, the plane was hit by a bird as they were landing. A plane getting his is usually a major deal especially with popular teams on them, but because there were no huge emergencies, this incident seemed to slip under the radar. The only thing that was damaged was the nose of the plane which was mostly publicised by the team members posting on social media. It being a plane that was hit by a bird made it a larger deal than usual but because there were no injuries and everything went very smoothly, this would be considered "blurred news".

The whistleblower I chose was Aaron Swartz. Aaron was a very skilled internet pioneer that created the site Reddit and hacked into JSTOR. He was able to download over 4 million articles but was arrested and subjected to over 1 million dollars in fines in 2011. Unlike many other hackers, Swartz did not leak government files, he released to the public articles that were already available to subscribers. My opinion on this specific case is that it seems really strange that he would release information that was already available to people if they paid for a subscription. It makes it seem like he just enjoyed to hack things and did not do it for the public's sake. He had no consideration for journalists. This can relate to the journalism world because this hacker affected the work of all the journalists on that site. Journal Entry #1 - First Newspapers

The Delivery Of Information- Some obvious differences between the newspapers today and the ones online are that  before, they did not seem to be very localized and focused on the bigger news around the world. In the article it said that it would only be a short page, double-sided where as today, the newspaper is quite lengthy. Also, in the earlier newspapers there weren't any pictures and in today's newspapers there are a lot of pictures that go along with mostly every article. Newspaper Suppression- I do not think the government should have the same kind of power as they had before with what newspapers were aloud to publish government-wise. If the government had a lot of control over what was said then I do not believe the truth would come out near as much.
